Extracting

Our Plant - Our Process

Whether you are a Hobbyist or Commercial Beekeeper, if you are a MPI Listed Beekeeper with a BK# in addition to your regular Beekeeper Registration #, we can extract your honey supers for you.

We can run 3/4 or Full Depth, Manley or Hoffman, wooden or plastic frames.  Minimum load is 10 boxes in 1 run up to Commercial Quantities.

Boxes are off loaded into the Re-Warming room for a few days to bring back up to hive temperature before extracting.  This room is temperature controlled to ensure boxes are not over-heated and are at the right temperature to ease extracting.

Burr comb is scraped from the top bars and frames are manually removed from supers and fed into an automatic decapping machine, then if required, through the pricker / loosening machine before being loaded into either of the of the 2 twelve basket extractors.

We are conscience of possible future compliance regulations, and so have designed the plant to enable the same frames to be loaded back into the original supers they came from.

Under the decapper is a wax press which catches and separates the cappings wax from cappings honey.

Honey from here along with drippings from the feed rails, pricker and honey from the extractor all drain into main tank, which is then pumped to the Humma Centrifuge where small particles of wax are removed by centrifugal force.

The honey we process is  100% Raw and Natural, we don't process through in-line flash heat exchangers or fine filters.  This ensures the honey we process has all the original colour, and pollens which gives it, it's unique flavour just as the bees made it.
